Since writing this I have relented due to popular demand and enable usage of the other 'simple' forum.  Please be aware that it is not owned or controlled by me and may disappear forever without notice. 

The other website www.korbr.co.uk has a discussion forum on it which is run under a database driven program called PHPBB and is still open to visitors for reading but please DO NOT register or otherwise try to do anything other than read the large number of very interesting posts from so many of the Regimental Family.  The reason for this is that the discussion forum became so popular that it was frequently targeted by hackers and spam merchants which meant that I spent a lot of time sorting out the spam and building stronger security rather than developing the website. 

Eventually I realised that it was worth locking the forum and waiting for a rewrite of the PHPBB software program with a much more secure system.  In the meantime I managed to setup a much easier to use forum on a free server and that has proved to be very successful - hopefully by the time you read this the link at the top of this page will be enabled.  Do please come and join us and leave a message - you will be amazed at how many old friend are on the forum.  However, as with all discussion groups there are many more who 'listen' than speak, perhaps a message from you will get them to raise their heads a little.  Once I have found a new suitable discussion forum the hope is to establish it here and migrate to it.  This will give us more control over the it and allow me to back up its database so that it can be restored if it goes down or gets hacked.  If anyone has any ideas on the subject please let me know.
